Professional Officer at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• Relevant BTech or Bachelor’s degree
• Up to five (5) years’ appropriate experience
• Sound working knowledge of local government legislation
• Computer literacy (particularly in Adobe and MS Office Suite)
• A valid Code EB (08) driver’s.

Key Performance Areas

• Developing and evaluating departmental marketing materials, product/service modification(s) by using measurement documentation procedures
• Coordinating market research with respect to the mandates assigned to the department
• Planning and developing systems to prepare, organise anddistribute external marketing information both directly to clients and via district offices
• Managing and monitoring a variety of projects/subprojects on marketing, events and visual communications
• Developing various media forms and formats to meet the demand for information of the department
• Creating and maintaining departmental marketing literature, online information, advertisements, editorials, advertorials and promotional materials/videos in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders
• Development of web-based standards, formats and procedures
• Gathering customer/community/stakeholder feedback, and product/service data, through quantitative and qualitative research by using both formal and informal research methods and techniques
