Typical duties include:

• Pricing of tenders/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project.
• Bill of quantities (BOQ).
• Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget estimates -project cost calculations and analysis.
• Calculating, planning and sourcing of construction materials.
• Sourcing suppliers to work on the construction stage of the project (always improving pricing and credit facilities).
• Measuring and valuing the work done on site.
• Dealing with financial and legal aspects of the project (JBCC Building Agreement).
• Subcontractor appointment and management - invoices and quantities verification.
• Timeous submission of monthly client claims with substantiating measurements.
• Liaising with the client and other construction professionals, such as quantity surveyors, site managers, project managers and site engineers.
• Stock control and planning.
• Adhoc.

Skills Brief:

• Good numerical skills and attention to detail.

• Good understanding and knowledge of the JBCC N/S Subcontract and building industry.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu measuring program or other essential.
• Excel in Microsoft Office.
• Diploma / Degree qualification.
