We are looking for a leader to take primary responsibility for managing the operations of the programme on a one-year fixed term contract (with the possibility of extension based on performance of the programme). The position will have a team of five staff working solely on the project and supported by several senior consultants from Intellidex. The position will report into a board of international and local advisors.
The ideal candidate must have:
Strong leadership skills having managed a team working nationally in South Africa
Experience in the philanthropic field, specifically in youth employment programmes
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Project management experience
Performance management experience
Ability to problem solve and come up with innovative solutions to unique situations which may arise
Excellent data interpretation and writing skills
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
At least have a master’s degree in development or related
Academic and professional research experience related areas is not essential but would be advantageous
