    Project Finance Manager - Infrastructure Finance

    As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of a project management office, ensuring the repeatable and consistent delivery of projects. The successful candidate will lead a diverse and multi-disciplinary team, fostering a mature team-player approach and ensuring optimal resource utilisation for successful commercial and financial close.

     

    This position, based in Johannesburg, might involve some short-term travel from time to time and fills an integral role that involves working closely with the rest of the advisory team to execute a wide variety of challenging and exciting engagements. As part of the rapidly growing organisation, you will be part of challenging and exciting engagements related to major economic and social infrastructure projects.

    Key qualifications for the Project Manager:

    • Post-graduate degree in Engineering or Finance; master’s is advantageous
    • Professional Project Management Qualification (PMP) and accreditation
    • 7+ years of infrastructure development management experience
    • Proven leadership in a Project Management Office
    • Experience in the energy sector and PPPs; finance or consulting project management is advantageous

    Key duties for the Project Manager will include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and implement a project management office for consistent delivery
    • Manage full project life cycle
    • Lead project planning and implement management programs
    • Assemble diverse teams, optimise resource utilisation
    • Appoint and oversee transaction advisors for project preparation and financial close
    • Ensure committed projects achieve plans
    • Prepare and present quarterly reports to decision-makers
    • Implement project management systems/tools during rollout
    • Utilise specialised tools for task delegation
    • Oversee all project documentation
    • Prepare annual budgets and initiate corrective action
    • Generate detailed project reports for executives
    • Manage relationships with stakeholders, partners, and lead promoters
    • Drive de-risking of technical and commercial aspects
