    Project Manager (3-year contract) Senior Professional Officer

    Requirements

    • A relevant tertiary qualification (built environment)
    • Eligibility for professional registration with a built environment council (SACPCMP preferred/will be advantageous
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience in residential township development
    • Computer Literacy: MS Office
    • Valid driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Project co-ordination, implementation a Project coordinating, implementation and reporting of actual progress against individual project plans, programme and  expenditure withing the Human Settlements Directorate and support the inter-governmental relationship with Province.
    • Providing project management and contract management support on strategic HS project and programmes, which are in-line with the National Department of Human Settlements.
    • Manage the implementation (construction) of infrastructure and top structures during the development of Human Settlements.
    • Ensuring that consultants are effectively managed and given clear direction in order to ensure that design and construction meet planned expectations.
    • Manage and coordinate the key performance areas of subordinates in order to ensure the availability of the necessary skills, competencies and capacity required for effective and efficient service delivery.
    • Functional administration to ensure all correspondence is dealt with timeously and all administrative documentation are accessible and safely secured i.e. compliant with the Archive Act and Record Management Policy and procedures.
    • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
    • Proactively identify and manage operational and financial risks and provide reasonable assurances regarding the achievement of strategic goals.
    • Manage key performance areas of subordinates in order to ensure the availability of the necessary skills, competencies and capacity required for effective and efficient service delivery.
