    QSHE Director Africa (English and French Speaking)

    Role Statement

    The District QHSE/TQR/Operational Excellence representant:

    • Is the main point of contact with the Africa support line for its district
    • Communicates key messages from the Africa support line on matters of QHSE, TQR, Operational Excellence and Compliance

    QHSE:

    • is the main contact for the district with the QHSE Manager
    • Reviews and compile the monthly safety indicators of each country before sending to the HO
    • In case of accident, reviews root cause analysis with the country
    • Conducts ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 internal audits and checks the district internal audits programme
    • Performs safety checks within the district
    • Delivers Internal HSE training to the new HSE staff
    • Follows external audits, TUV

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    TQR:

    • Is the main contact for the district with the TQR Manager
    • Coordinates special TQR Africa projects with the TQR Manager
    • Ensures TQR processes are implemented for its districts – particularly qualifications, supervisions, audits and CAPAs
    • Prepares and follows the annual audits plan for its district, including external audits: COFRAC, UKAS, SANAS, TUNAC, client related, etc.
    • Tracks technical training needs and provides input to the annual training plan for personnel executing services to client
    • Proposes and obtains validation of district representatives to support punctual TQR projects

    Operational Excellence:

    • Is the main contact for the district with the Operational Excellence Manager
    • Communicates with the district Financial Manager to validate financial data and KPI of operational excellence projects
    • Gathers opportunities for lean projects within its district
    • Monitors the implementation of agreed yearly lean projects within its district
    • Reports – after validation the district Financial Manager – KPIs related to lean projects
    • Comments on operational meaningfulness of KPIs set in scorecards
    • Collects scorecards of the district

    TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

    The following competencies are required:

    • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and one of ISO 17020, ISO 17021,ISO 17024,  ISO 17025, ISO 17065
    • Quality or technical degree
    • Experience in testing, inspection, certification activities is a plus
    • Languages: local language and French/English
    • Interaction and coordination on a daily basis with all personnel (all hierarchies)
    • Able to work “in the field” close to operations and able to communicate clearly
    • Coordinator, leader, change management, practical
