Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced qualified teacher to join their family in providing a nurturing and enriching educational environment for 4 primary school learning age. This role involves teaching and guiding students in the age range 6-12 years of age, specifically grades 1,3,4 and 7, and in a variety of subjects. The candidate will be working alongside the mother of the family, who will also be involved in teaching the children.
Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging lessons, aligned with the curriculum called Classical Conversations (CC) and Sonlight (Both are American-based curriculums).
Creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
Assessing student progress and providing feedback.
Communicate with parents about student progress and any concerns.
Requirements:
MUST be able to teach intermediate math, English and science.
SACE registration number
Strong academic background and teaching experience, with a relevant teaching qualification /degree.
Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in working with children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferably be computer literate and able to teach the basics of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Assisting children in using the internet to research topics for assignments and orals.
