Create and maintain Quality Awareness within the factory – Quality Toolbox topics.
Work on multiple projects to reduce cost, raw material management, product improvement and process performance.
Give analytical support during quality investigations.
Write technical reports which state findings of investigations and suggested recommendations to improve; rectify; change; replace or adjust processes to obtain the desired objectives. Drive implementation of recommendations upon approval.
Ensure that the quality management system conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015
Sustain and improve on plant Laboratory Management System whilst promoting adherence to control and specification adherence.
Ensure adherence to document control on all testing methods, quality SOPs, control plans and reaction plans.
Plant and quality data analysis and modelling (Moving towards predictive quality process control).
Drive adherence and improvement of QPC Quality Stations across the factory
Ensure all testing equipment on the factory is adherent to standard methods and calibrated as per calibration plans.
Build and manage a highly motivated and professional team who can meet the demands of a fast-paced challenging business environment whilst also ensuring the site meets demanding customer service and quality targets

The ideal candidate must BTech Degree or bachelor’s degree (BEng or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and Quality control/management qualification (advantageous). 3-5 years’ experience in chemical/process/quality engineering position within a relevant industry.
This role calls for a person who is good at communication, and project management experience will be advantageous.

The role’s objective is to develop and introduce Quality control and process improvements using the tools within the Q&PC Pillar linking through to step Zero. The primary objective will be to improve Product Quality performance KPI’s focussing on the key areas of Yield loss, and Customer Complaints. The role will require involvement in WCM projects within the plant that links to Product Quality and take lead in raw material trials and be an active contributor to New Product Developments in the plant. To undertake these tasks in an efficient safe manner meeting with SHE legislation, company policy and Managers rules.
An integral purpose of this role is to be able to lead and mentor the team of Laboratory Analysts reporting into the department. The ability to utilise resources to gain maximum input to the Quality and Process system will be an essential role requirement.
