Recruitment Consultant at Core Group

The Job

Core Group is looking for an Internal Recruiter to join our HR department for four months and take responsibility for the full-cycle recruitment processes on a variety of positions. This is an exciting opportunity for an available immediately Recruiter who has experience in high volume recruitment accross a variety of areas. Core Group is the sole distributor for Apple in Sub-Saharan Africa and has represented the brand in South Africa since 1995. We are also the distributors for other major brands like Fitbit, DJI and Nintendo. Our responsibilities are all encompassing and include supply chain management, marketing management, channel management, enterprise sales and media relations. The territory of operations comprises Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

1) iStore: Apple Premium Reseller (APR) in South Africa, SADEC and Nigeria which is a dedicated hub for Apple products and accessories.

2) Think Ahead: offers a whole-school programme to lead your school through meaningful technology integration. They customise the offering to suit your school’s vision, culture, budget, grades and requirements. 

3) iSchoolAfrica: An education initiative that reaches schools across South Africa in rural and urban settings and aim to empower teachers and students by giving them access to the world’s most advanced educational technology and classroom practices.

Responsibilities will include advertising job openings online and actively searching and attracting top calibre individuals. Duties will include screening and shortlisting individuals and managing candidaets up to the job offer. To be successful in this role, you should have an HR academic background along with work experience in sourcing, interviewing and evaluating candidates.

Ultimately, you will help us build a strong employer brand and ensure we provide a positive candidate experience.

Duties will include:

• Collaborating with Recruitment Manager and Hiring Managers for writing job advertisements for open roles
• Advertise job ads on job boards, careers pages and social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn)
• Screening all applications 
• Utilising searches where suitable 
• Telephonic interviews
• Shortlisting and presenting to Recruitment manager and/or Line managers 
• Providing interview feedback 
• Answering the queries of candidates related to the hiring process
• Conducting all background checks 
• Reporting to HR Managers and Hiring Managers on the status of open jobs
• Coordinate all interview rounds and assessments 
• Consolidate feedback and documents to prepare offers for successful candidates 

Requirements

• Minimum Matric
• Tertiary preferred
• 5+ years relevant experience 
• Full-cycle and hands-on recruiter 
• Experience handling high volumes in a fast paced environment
