    Regional Compliance Manager (East, Southern and Anglophone West Africa)

    Job Description

    The Regional Compliance Manager (East, Southern and Anglophone West Africa) is responsible for (i) promoting a culture of integrity within the sub-region, (ii) setting up and supervising regional/local compliance structures to manage integrity risks, (iii) performing integrity assessments, and (iv) investigating alleged integrity violations.

    • Promotes corporate integrity rules, policies, and guidelines in the sub-region
    • Advises on the implementation of, and monitors, integrity controls in regional/local operational processes
    • Collaborates with regional/local internal and external stakeholders to manage integrity risks
    • Empowers, engages with, educates, and trains management and employees on integrity risks
    • Performs preventive testing and assessments
    • Handles local reporting of integrity violations, performs investigations, and monitors corrective action plans
    • Performs periodic field visits in the sub-region to fulfil its responsibilities
    • Performs other related duties as instructed by the Global Head of Business Ethics
    • Travel is required for this position

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Advanced university degree in law, business management, quality management, or similar fields 
    • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience working in the industry and specifically in fields related to the SGS Business Lines
    • Experience working with risk, ethics, integrity and/or compliance in Africa with regional responsibilities
    • Experience in working within a matrix organization
    • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
