Job Purpose    

• To actively drive the implementation of marketing strategies and plan in order to achieve or support the overall marketing and communication strategy and maximise the current marketing and communication channels.
• This post reports to SENIOR MANAGER (MARKETING & COMM)

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Facilitates the increase of the number of visitors or tourists participating in events, leisure and business tourism to Domestic Markets, Africa Region and International Markets.
• Manages the execution of all e-marketing activities in support of all destination marketing strategies.
• Provides a strategic marketing programme to promote Durban as the most preferred tourism destination.
• Assumes responsibility for the implementation of marketing strategy and plan.
• Directs and control outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Marketing and Communication section.
• Manages the implementation of financial controls/procedures in relation to monitoring financial provisioning and contribute to the capital and operating expenditure estimation processes.

Essential Requirements    

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) or equivalent in Marketing or Communications or Tourism Management.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 4 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements    

• Degree (NQF Level 7) or equivalent in Marketing or Communications or Tourism Management.
• 5 Years relevant experience
