Our client is seeking an experienced commercial insurance sales leader to drive tactical planning, execute client retention strategies, and manage team performance, operational processes, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
People Management: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve business objectives while fostering continuous growth, accountability, and compliance.
Client Relationship Management & Retention: Drive client satisfaction and retention within the region by delivering suitable insurance solutions aligned with client needs.
New Business Development: Expand the client portfolio by managing lead sources, converting opportunities, and prospecting through strategic relationships.
Client Portfolio Optimisation: Promote needs-based selling through comprehensive risk assessments and tailored product solutions.
Value Proposition & Cross-Selling: Maximise revenue opportunities by driving effective cross-selling across business units to deliver integrated financial solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Networking: Build strong internal and external partnerships to maintain product relevance, client-centric solutions, and market competitiveness.
Business Continuity & Growth: Strengthen operational effectiveness and sustainable business growth through strategic alliances and collaboration.
Performance & Target Management: Monitor and manage sales, reviews, and service performance against targets while providing guidance and resource optimization.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure full adherence to regulatory requirements, FAIS standards, and internal business processes to maintain a compliant sales culture.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 6 years' experience in Commercial Insurance sales.
Leadership: Minimum of 2 years' management experience.
Minimum Qualifications: NQF5 in Short-term Insurance (NQF6 is advantageous) and an RE5 qualification with up-to-date Class of Business (COB) training.
Regulatory Exams: FSCA-Approved Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5) and Regulatory Exam for Key Individuals (RE1).
Education: NQF6 Organisational Risk Practitioner Qualification or a Degree in Insurance.
FAIS & Industry Training: Experience aligned with the FAIS Act, product-specific training, and Class of Business training for applicable categories upon onboarding.
Professional Standards: Ongoing commitment to Continuous Professional Development and the ability to attest to honesty, integrity, and good standing.
