    Resource Coordination Assistant

    Duties

    • The Resource Coordination Assistant (Administrative Support) works under the direct supervision of the Resource Coordination Specialist or Country Public Affairs Officer (CPAO) designee and receives work guidance from the Consulate General Durban PAO or PAO designee. 
    • The job holder is the Public Diplomacy (PD) locally employed (LE) Staff member responsible for managing administrative aspects of the PD Section in Pretoria. 
    • Supports Established Opinion Leaders (EOL), Emerging Voices (EV), and Strategic Content Coordination teams. 
    • Provides primary administrative support for the Consulate General Durban PD Section, including budget tracking, grants coordination, and procurement requests. 
    • Provides general administrative support as requested to PD Sections in Johannesburg and Cape Town. 
    • Oversees Pretoria and Durban PD Section time and attendance, staff travel, and other administrative tasks; manages Pretoria program calendar. 
    • Serves as a primary point of contact for the Pretoria PD Section, ensuring that visitors receive accurate and timely information with the highest level of customer service. 
    • Serves as the country administrator for PD Tools and the lead PD Section coordinator for Contact Relationship Management (CRM) database.

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    Requirements:

    All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a:

    • security certificate; or 
    • security clearance.
    • All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.  
    • Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time 12 weeks upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

    Education Requirements:

    • University degree in business administration, financial management, organizational management, accounting, public administration or local equivalent is required.
