PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• To conduct rigging practices in accordance with legislative safety standards and job requirements. This includes the inspection, selection and use of slings and lifting tackle to safely lift, move Car Body Shells, load CBS Jigs and stack buffer.
• Shunting – Responsible for the safe movement of carbodies with the use of shunting machinery.

Main Responsabilities

Main Required Competences
Educational Requirements
Mandatory :

• Grade 12: Certificate
• Trade Qualification (Red seal), 651501
• English fluent
• LTI Certificate (Lifting Tackle Inspection)
• Shunting or loco movement certificate

Desirable:

• DMR 18 experience or certificate
• Shunting

Experience
Mandatory:

• Minimum 2 years Post Qualification experience
• Relevant experience and/or similar environment
• LTI Certificate (Lifting Tackle Inspection)
• Shunting or loco movement certificate

Desirable:

• DMR 18 experience or certificate
• Shunting

• General knowledge for understanding of critical health, safety and legal provisions relating to the rigger’s occupation.
