ROLE OVERVIEW: 

• The Sales & Design Graduate will receive training and practical exposure in technical design and consultative sales within the power and energy sector.
• The role will support customer solutions, new business development and solar PV and backup power projects.

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant Electrical or Mechanical Degree.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in solar PV and backup power solutions.
• Passion for engineering design and developing technical solutions.
• Strong sales and communication skills.
• Excellent Afrikaans and English verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
• Willingness to complete internal technical and product training.
• Willingness to travel nationally when required.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of PV and backup power system designs, including off-grid, hybrid and grid-tied solutions.
• Work with the AutoCAD department to develop electrical drawings and optimise system yield.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial, industrial and residential sectors.
• Assist with lead generation, prospecting and cold calling.
• Support the sales process from lead qualification through to closing, with training and guidance provided.
• Conduct site evaluations to assist with accurate costing and system design.
• Assist with project planning and technical implementation.
• Assist with final commissioning and switch-on activities under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Provide post-sale technical support and assist with resolving customer technical queries.
• Assist with programming electronics and technical product support.
• Advise customers on suitable technologies and product solutions as knowledge develops.
• Maintain accurate lead, customer and revenue information on Pastel Evolution CRM.
• Assist with developing product literature and technical sales material.
• Build and maintain positive customer and business relationships.
• Travel nationally when required for site evaluations and commissioning of larger projects.
