    Sales Consultant

    The Role

    (This role is open to all candidates in Pretoria, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban).

    LifeCheq is a fast growing and innovative, tech-based financial consultancy firm operating in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. We help clients link their goals and values to an actionable roadmap, and help them achieve these goals. We’re looking for a results-driven Solution- sales experts to actively seek out and engage customer prospects.

    The Sales Consultant is a customer-focused sales professional who leads the pre-sales effort by creating opportunities and engaging with clients to develop a a customer-centric sales value proposition.  The  Sales Consultant works with the client in order to recommend, develop and propose appropriate customer solution and services offerings.

    The primary function of this  role is to a) establish a trust relationship with the client, b) develop a strong understanding of the customer's goals, and c) propose a LifeCheq solution that provides a positive impact and meaningful to help the client develop his/her financial goals. The Business Development Consultant owns the initial client engagement process and supports the client until they are handed over to an internal Consultant.

    Role outline

    • Reach out to customer leads (supplied by the marketing team) through cold calling
    • Explain the LifeCheq value proposition for our sessions and masterclasses and book onboarding meetings and sign up clients
    • Prospect for leads via LinkedIn and other channels
    • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
    • Follow up with clients after sales to get feedback and generate referrals from clients
    • Follow up to ensure that clients have completed the onboarding process and are getting their plans done by a consultant where relevant
    • Attend events and sell the LifeCheq proposition to attendees to drive both referrals from clients and lead sign ups
    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and client relationships
    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
    • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
    • Assist with the ongoing development of the sales process

    Requirements:

    • The ideal candidate will be good with concepts, have excellent communication skills (especially listening skills), will be self-driven and will have very good attention to detail.
    • The role requires an bachelors level university degree with at least 2 years' working experience  in a solution-based sales role
    • Ability and confidence to bring new clients on board
    • Strong closing of sales abilities and a record to prove it

    Other requirements

    • Attend one Masterclass per month (one Saturday morning event)
