    Sales Manager C&I Storage

    • Our client is a leading international energy solutions company specialising in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions across the Middle East and Africa. With a strong focus on innovation, turnkey energy solutions, and sustainable infrastructure, the company plays a significant role in driving the adoption of advanced storage technologies within the renewable energy sector.
    • The Sales Manager C&I Storage will be responsible for closing contracts for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) PV+BESS solutions across the Middle East & Africa, with a strong focus on South Africa. This role plays a key part in driving revenue and achieving pre-set sales targets based on market conditions.
    • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in selling C&I Storage Solutions, supported by a strong technical and commercial background.

    Key Responsibilities May Include:
    Manage and expand existing customer relationships while actively developing new business opportunities within targeted markets and segments.

    • Identify, qualify, and pursue high-potential sales opportunities to drive market and revenue growth.
    • Provide detailed commercial and technical proposals to customers, ensuring alignment with internal teams.
    • Lead end-to-end contract negotiations, securing C&I PV+BESS agreements.
    • Take full responsibility for achieving set sales targets and revenue goals for C&I Storage Solutions.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape, including service offerings, component solutions, and market differentiators.
    • Monitor and analyse market trends, regulatory developments, and political frameworks affecting energy storage in designated market segments.
    • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and team members, including business development, commercial, project execution, and other internal functions to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Leverage market feedback to enhance turnkey product offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches.

    Qualifications:

    • Deep technical background in energy storage solutions.
    • Proven track record of delivering storage solutions within the C&I PV+BESS segment.
    • Engineering qualification preferred; alternatively, a business administration qualification.
    • Strong industry network with at least 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
    • Experience with value selling and designing account penetration strategies/plans.
    • Familiarity with the respective interests of players across different solar sectors.
    • High proficiency in MS Office applications and Microsoft Dynamics or other CRM systems.

    Competencies:

    • Strong sales expertise, including experience in the full sales process, developing and executing effective sales strategies, presenting comprehensive sales proposals, negotiating complex contracts, and closing deals.
    • Proactive attitude with a pragmatic mindset and strong sense of urgency.
    • Results-driven with a hands-on and down-to-earth approach.
    • Ability to work autonomously with high reliability and effectively under pressure.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact comfortably with stakeholders at all organisational levels, including executive management within an international environment.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to understand customers’ business needs.
    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.
