    Sales Manager

    Introduction

    An innovative educational technology company, with offices in Pretoria and Stellenbosch, is seeking to employ an analytical and assertive Sales Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role.

    Job Purpose

    Direct management of daily activities and outcomes of the respective sales teams, including tracking the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives, preparing reports as well as providing training, coaching, supervision and motivation to the team.

    Requirements

    Minimum education (essential)

    • Matric

    Minimum education (desirable)

    • Degree in Marketing or relevant field
    • Certificate or Diploma in Sales or Management

    Minimum applicable experience (years)

    • 5 years

    Key Performance Areas, Weights and Objectives

    Team Management 40%

    • Manage, train, and coach the sales team to drive sales effectiveness.
    • Provide regular updates to the sales team and management on sales activities, tracking against targets, and other reporting requirements.
    • Establish, improve and ensure active management of team’s KPA’s with frequent feedback to the members.
    • Manage and motivate staff to perform their best.
    • Actively manage team well-being.

    Sales Management 40%

    • Drive sales targets provided by management.
    • Understand and be able to perform all phases of the sales process and sales cycle, including, for example, prospecting, initial contact, presentations, objection handling, competitor information, events and workshops.
    • Responsible for coordinating all relevant events and workshops.
    • Ensure the sales team adhere to the company’s policies and guidelines.

    Reporting 20%

    • Provide reporting as and when required.
