    Sales Representative

    The primary responsibilities for this role will be:

    • Develop prospective client/sales lists for the THE DUCHESS range of beverages.
    • Sell the THE DUCHESS range of beverages to on-consumption outlets in Cape Town. Support the rest of the National team to do the same.
    • “Cold call”, “road warrior” and “pound the pavements” to sell THE DUCHESS products
    • Manage and nurture client relationships with THE DUCHESS outlets and assist/educate THE DUCHESS distributors, agents and their sales teams to best on-sell the THE DUCHESS brand & products.
    • Diligently pursue in trade excellence by achieving the THE DUCHESS in trade merchandising standards
    • Regularly participate in sampling stunts and THE DUCHESS promotions to engage with potential THE DUCHESS consumers
    • Promote, negotiate the placing of, and fulfil the delivery of, THE DUCHESS marketing assets
    • Monitor and ensure the optimal positioning, presentation and merchandising of THE DUCHESS products at THE DUCHESS outlets in Cape Town.
    • Produce weekly/monthly sales reports and maintain up-to-date sales database information on a daily basis using our CRM sales app.
    • Carefully manage stock holding in store and ensure sufficient stock pressure at all times. 

    The following experience and attributes are necessary for the successful candidate:

    • Minimum of 1-year sales experience in beverages or FMCG with credible quality references.
    • Live close to Cape Town
    • Preferable to have an undergraduate degree or diploma
    • Enthusiastic team member with excellent people skills - ability to connect with, and nurture relationships, with clients, customers, colleagues, suppliers, service providers etc.
    • Be a hard-working, self-motivated, caring, can-do-will-do worker who can work alone and on the road on a daily basis.
    • Have excellent sales and business communication skills, good attention to detail, including a good command of Dutch & English (both written & spoken).
    • Have a thorough working knowledge MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint; and Internet/Email & social media
    • Have a valid drivers license & own car
    • Feel and demonstrate a natural affinity with THE DUCHESS’s brand and products
