Job Specification for SAP Finance Solutions Architect

Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and support of SAP S/4 Hana applications as the Technical Lead for SAP Finance Solutions Architect.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement SAP solutions within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
• Validate complex architectures to ensure successful implementation.
• Evaluate solution scenarios aligned with business requirements.
• Provide subject matter expertise in SAP S/4HANA solution architecture.
• Strategically plan the solution landscape.
• Integrate SAP S/4 Hana solutions across diverse technologies.
• Understand SAP S/4 Hana roadmap, including Cloud integration with on-premises solutions.
• Manage SAP S/4 Hana system migrations and upgrades.
• Align solution architecture with business processes.
• Influence IT strategies for collaborative alignment.
• Document SAP Solution Architecture in accordance with enterprise standards.
• Present SAP solutions architecture in various Group forums.
• Translate business and technology requirements into functional solution architectures.
• Support Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities and project initiatives.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Matric (High school diploma).
• Bachelor’s degree recommended.
• S/4 Hana Certification.
• Architecture knowledge/certification (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) beneficial.

Experience:

• Over 10 years of SAP implementation and/or solution design experience.
• Proficiency in at least 6+ full lifecycle SAP implementations.
• 10+ years of solution specialist (or equivalent customer-facing) experience.
• Cloud experience advantageous.
• Experience with Insurance Analyzer beneficial.
• Expertise in designing and validating complex architectures.
• Experience integrating SAP solutions into diverse technologies and architectures.
• Knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of SAP systems: Business Suite, S/4HANA, and related infrastructure.
• Ability to analyze and challenge solution scenarios aligned with business needs.
• Proficiency in providing recommendations on SAP platform and tools.
• Ability to influence IT strategies for alignment across teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including communication, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement enterprise-wide SAP transformation initiatives that drive business value.
