THE JOB AT A GLANCE

• To Manage the maintenance of all production equipment to ensure production can run efficiently.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Maintenance of seamers, pumps, conveyors, elevators, pipelines, water reticulation equipment, etc.)
• Lubrication of machines and equipment
• Manufacturing and installation of equipment
• Daily condition monitoring of machines & equipment
• Training of operators
• Assisting operators during change over
• Use the Maintenance Management System
• Problem Solving and Fault finding

Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

Key Professional and Foundational competencies

• Core knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance other equipment e.g. conveyors, elevators, centrifugal &other pumps, pipelines, water reticulation equipment, etc.
• Academic Qualified and trade tested artisan (preferably a Fitter & Turner) with sound knowledge and experience on seamers. Practical knowledge and experience of lathe work (turning) welding (arc, argon, gas, brazing & soldering) and cutting
• Computer literacy
• Practical knowledge and experience of a maintenance management system e.g. Pragma or DMS would be advantageous.
• Must be prepared to work overtime and shifts
• Able to work in a team
• Ability to work under pressure
• Attentive to detail, innovative and quality orientated
• Able to function independently

Experience

• Function: 5 years' experience
• Industry: 1-year FMCG experience
