Team Leader / Senior Architect

Location: Sibaya, Durban

We are a design orientated, award-winning, architecture and design firm, based in Cape Town and Durban, working across a range of projects in the Residential, Leisure, and Commercial sectors.

COA are seeking an energetic, experienced (8+ years) Architect with Commercial or High-End/Custom Residential experience.  Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in manage multiple, complex internal and external demands through the use of exceptional multi-tasking skills. Very importantly, he/she will, also, have an affinity for and commitment to the ongoing development of high-performing teams.

Qualifications and Skills:          

• Degree in Architecture (M.Arch preferred)
• Registration with SACAP (advantageous)
• Quantifiable experience in delivering projects through all the Architectural stages
• Deep competence and passion for the people agenda – performance, development, leading.
• Initiative, with the ability to anticipate business and client needs in a proactive manner
• Significant experience in Commercial or Custom Housing, with the ability to support and provide project deliverables (either through a project lead or direct management)
• Ability to set and meet tight deadlines through effective programming and resource management
• Excellent technical skills, preferably in ArchiCAD and BIM
• Excellent verbal and communication skills required in order to present a professional service
• Fluent in English plus the necessary work documents for employment in South Africa (if applicable)
