Senior Business Analyst - Warehousing at Core Group

About the Role

• We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business operations, systems, and data. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making, optimising business processes, and delivering strategic insights across a complex operational environment.
• The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging advanced analytics, data visualisation, and business process expertise to drive efficiency, performance, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define, prioritise, and translate business requirements into actionable, data-driven solutions
• Act as a bridge between business operations and systems, enabling improved decision-making and streamlined processes
• Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics models to forecast demand, optimise inventory, and improve inbound and outbound logistics planning
• Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and reports using Power BI and other analytics tools, providing real-time visibility into KPIs, trends, anomalies, and behaviours
• Incorporate client business intelligence and recommend areas for operational improvement
• Create intuitive, user-friendly dashboards aligned to business KPIs, enabling self-service analytics for non-technical users
• Map and optimise complex business processes using clear, integrated process flow diagrams
• Present insights, recommendations, and feedback in strategic and operational workshops

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Honours preferred) or Master’s degree in an analytical discipline such as Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
• Business Analysis certification (e.g. CBAP) is advantageous

Experience Required

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in business analysis, data analytics, data science, business intelligence, or business process reengineering
• Strong experience working with large datasets from multiple sources, including querying databases for analysis and reporting
• Proven experience designing dashboards, visualisations, and reports to support data-driven decision-making
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including data integration, analytics, and governance
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working across cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to map, link, and optimise complex business landscapes

Technical Skills

• Business requirements analysis and solution design
• Data engineering concepts, ETL processes, and multi-source data integration
• Advanced SQL skills (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Microsoft Fabric Suite, including advanced Power BI, DAX, Power Query, custom visuals, and automated reporting
• Python proficiency for data manipulation, analytics, automation, and machine learning (R advantageous)
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, PivotTables, and VBA
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
