    Senior Change & Communications Specialist

    Job Description & Summary

    As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

    Responsibilities and key activities include but are not limited to

    • Lead and develop the creation and implementation of change plans, communication and training strategies and plans that maximize employee engagement and adoption.
    • Lead teams and activities to execute change plans, communications and training campaigns. This will involve working with teams such as SDT’s Digital Operations Team, Design, Events, Communications, Marketing and Learning and development across Africa, Africa Technology, Data Office and other stakeholders as identified by projects that arise.
    • Be the custodian in the team of the PwC Brand to ensure all materials and communications created are within the brand specifications.
    • Seamlessly manage cross-functional linkages, activities, and communications in ways that support a cohesive employee workplace experience.
    • Connect with team leads, project managers and stakeholders to listen and gather information or solicit input in developing relevant and timely communications and training. Bring creative and innovative thinking in deploying change practices that improve the outcomes.
    • Advise on and draft communications for different audiences, while keeping employee perspectives in focus to ensure communications are relevant and accessible. Communications can include diverse topics from workplace to technology changes impacting various levels of the business.
    • Provide change expertise to senior leaders, helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor.
    • Exercise a high level of independence and judgment within broadly defined framework and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
    • Creating or co-authoring supporting materials for the countries in the Africa territory.
    • Managing change deployment project plans and monitoring post adoption rates to consider additional plans that may be needed.
    • Providing guidance and advice to teams on their change deployment.
    • Help solve problems related to technology co-existence challenges, such as Google and Microsoft.
    • Provide communications support to drive various digital upskilling initiatives across Africa and throughout the Digital Accelerator Programme
    • Drive and lead the strategic communications efforts of the Strategic Digital Transformation team in the form of regular newsletter publications and thought leadership articles.

    Required skills

    • Passion for employee communications and creating positive employee experiences.
    • Proficient knowledge of employee communications strategy and tools.
    • Advanced communication (strong written and verbal communication skills) and presentation skills
    • Ability to write and edit in a variety of styles and formats in a way that is clear, engaging, actionable, and grammatically correct.
    • Breaking down complex problems into concrete actions and deliverables
    • Ability to translate technical jargon into business relatable messaging
    • Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives and adjust to changing priorities.
    • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
    • Being comfortable working in and operating efficiently in a fast-paced, flexible and ambiguous environment with business partners/stakeholders across different levels and areas of responsibility.
    • Being resilient and able to manage difficult or political situations without guidance or supervision
    • Comfortable influencing and building relationships with stakeholders.
    • Ability to pivot between being strategic and hands on based on the needs of the business
    • Exceptional leadership (with the ability to lead and manage a team) and organisational skills; leading with integrity and discretion

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree and five to ten years of combined experience in change and employee communication role(s).
    • Change Management certification
