QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered as a Pr Eng with ECSA

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 5+ years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering Environment
• Design and build experience in large scale solar PV ground mounts

• Valid driver's license and own car

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Solar Project Engineering:

•  Preliminary & detailed project design
•  System commissioning
•  Contribution to project budgets
•  Control and issue construction drawings and related project documentation
•  Site investigations & quality inspections
•  Performance monitoring and error reporting
•  Technology research
•  Client meetings and business development assistance, including into Africa
•  Technical support and client liaison including troubleshooting
•  Review and approval of peer designs
•  Smart metering system design
•  Technical reporting

2. Project Management

•  General project management input
•  Contract review
•  Assist with health and safety compliance, planning and implementation
•  Grid connection applications to relevant authorities
•  Technical internal and external communications and presentations
•  Construction team liaison/contractor management
