Senior Environmental Health Practitioner at Ilembe District Municipality

Description

• National Diploma / Preferred Bachelor Degree in Environmental Health 
• 2-3 years working experience as an Environmental Health Practitioner
• Valid registration with HPCSA as an Environmental Health Practitioner
• Excellent in communication (verbal & written)
• Knowledge and understanding of  legislative requirements, acceptable practices and procedures.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license (code EB).

Requirements

• Execution of Municipal Health Services as defined in National Health Acts, 61/2003
• Provision of Health Education and public awareness to the community concerning environmental health nuisances
• Handling all health and safety queries and complaints from public
• Conduct Municipal Health Services inspections, taking samples and analysing samples
• Compile and submit reports on Municipal Health Inspections
• Perform any other task ad hoc duties as required by management from time to time
• Plan, monitor coordinates the application of procedures and sequences associated with environmental health
• General  administrative duties
