Description

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with divisional goals and company success.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify growth opportunities, cost savings, potential risks, and forecasting.
• Generate actionable insights from financial data to support decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Prepare comprehensive budgets and forecasts, considering various scenarios.
• Monitor actual financial performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Ensure budgetary discipline and financial control.

Strategy Support and Tracking:

• Collaborate with divisional leadership to translate the overall strategy into measurable goals and objectives.
• Lead the process of transforming strategic goals into actionable plans for the division.

Annual Budgeting and Planning:

• Manage the division's annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with divisional management.
• Continuously monitor progress against the budget, update forecasts as necessary, and provide insights into budget performance.

Investment Cases and Product Viabilities:

• Prepare and present investment cases and product viabilities to the General Manager (GM) and Executive Team (Exo), supporting strategic decision-making.

Granular Commercial Agreement Modelling:

• Conduct detailed modelling of commercial agreements, breaking down complex agreements into granular components to analyze and optimize terms.

Performance Management:

• Collaborate with team members (Head of Sales and Trader Performance Manager) to set Division KPIs and metrics.
• Monitor and report on divisional financial and operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Efficiency and Bottom Line Improvements:

• Identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and bottom-line improvements within the division.
• Actively seek ways to enhance commercial outcomes and drive performance.

Data Custodian Performance Dashboards:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of available data to uncover new insights.
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for management and implement strategies accordingly.
• Take responsibility for the integrity and security of divisional data.
• Create and maintain performance dashboards to measure and track divisional performance against KPIs.
• Guarantee the accuracy of dashboards and reporting.

Cultural Leadership:

• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the division.
• Encourage proactive problem-solving and innovative thinking among team members.

General:

• Advanced financial analysis and modelling expertise.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years of work experience in financial analysis or a related field.
• Qualified CA(SA) with at least 4 years of post-article experience in a commercial environment.
• Advanced financial modelling software.
• Financial software for complex reporting and analysis.
• Data analytics and visualization tools.
• Advanced Excel for sophisticated modelling.
