Senior Front Arena Developer (6-Month Contract) at DeARX Services (Pty) Ltd

• Were on the hunt for a seasoned Front Arena Developer to partner with our dynamic Investment Banking Technology team. In this role, you'll lead the charge in resolving critical issues, delivering cutting-edge enhancements, and building smarter, faster systems for the Loans Book platform a core system in our trading and operational value chain.
• This is more than just bug-fixing. You'll be embedded in a fast-paced, collaborative team focused on stabilizing, optimizing, and reimagining our Front Arena landscape while also contributing to Power BI reporting and broader data strategy initiatives.

• A growing backlog of production issues affecting business users
• Enhancement requests and new functionality to support evolving loan structures
• Gaps in data reporting and strategy alignment within our Front Arena platform

Your Impact

• Streamline Front Arena: Deliver robust fixes and feature enhancements across trade lifecycle components (Trades, Instruments, Cashflows, Settlements, Confirmations, Business Processes, etc.)
• Power Business Insight: Develop and refine Power BI dashboards to enable deeper insights and faster decisions.
• Shape Data Strategy: Provide technical input and innovation for a long-term, scalable data architecture.
• Lead with Expertise: Translate business needs into technical solutions, mentor support teams, and ensure smooth knowledge handovers.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and resolve high-priority production issues in Front Arena.
• Deliver enhancements to core system objects across trade lifecycle processes.
• Design and deploy Power BI dashboards aligned with stakeholder KPIs.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, and Operations stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all information security, governance, and tech risk standards.
• Document technical solutions and processes; enable knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with FIS (vendor) as required for system updates and advanced troubleshooting.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience working on Front Arena, with strong hands-on technical expertise
• Proficiency in Python (v3) for scripting, data manipulation, and workflow integration
• Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle, particularly in loans and complex instruments
• Background in Corporate & Investment Banking environments, with experience supporting trading desks or back-office ops
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
