    Senior Infrastructure Engineer: DevOps

    Purpose

    • We are looking for a pacesetting Senior Infrastructure Engineer: DevOps accountable for assisting the DevOps team lead in planning, organizing, controlling, and management of all platforms and implementation of related infrastructure strategy. We seek an experienced individual thelp us manage and develop our cloud infrastructure. Reporting tthe Technical Manager: DevOps, this role works closely with our software and technology teams tprovide the support necessary tallow for rapid code deployment and high levels of system uptime.

    Responsibilities of the Role

    • Provide thought leadership with regards tClickatell’s overall cloud adoption strategy. 
    • Contribute tarchitectural and design discussions around current and future system implementations, including but not limited tmonitoring/internal tooling/AWS environment design requirements.
    • Conduct technical research and development tenable continuing innovation within the infrastructure environments. 
    • Audit and analyse logs and other system data for troubleshooting and preliminary root cause determination, change control management for code deployment and configuration modifications. 
    • Ensure all documentation and diagrams for all environments are accurate and up tdate.
    • Provide technical liaison services with enterprise customers and vendors as required. 
    • Service, maintain, commission, and support global platforms with a view towards high availability and scalability. 

    Requirements of the Role

    • Minimum of 7 years in a DevOps related position with 2 + years in a senior role advantageous.
    • Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD) required.
    • AWS Certified DevOps professional advantageous

    Work experience:

    • Working experience with Linux or derivative.
    • Extensive experience in virtualisation and cloud environments, particularly Amazon 
    • Web Services (AWS) essential.
    • Containerization of services
    • Dockerfiles, Multi Stage Builds
    • Containerized environments (EKS/K8S) 
    • Deployments, Services, Ingress
    • Performance optimization of pods
    • Securing containerized environments
    • Load and performance testing
    • Templatization and automation of work
    • Experience in both traditional data centres and public cloud environments (essential)
    • Helm package manager
    • CI/CD frameworks and workflows (Gitlab / Github Actions / Jenkins)
    • Code Quality, Vulnerability scanning, SAST, Secrets Detection, API Fuzzing
    • Centralized log management (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Fluent-bit, Kibana)
    • Continuous monitoring with Prometheus, Alert manager, Grafana

    Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
    • GitLab administration (preferred)
    • Scripting (BASH and YAML) (essential)
    • Perl, python, ruby and/or PHP scripting (preferred)
    • Troubleshooting hardware and/or software
    • Understanding of the SDLC and Agile methodologies (essential)
