    Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer: Haematology

    Lecturer: Haematology 
    Qualifications

    • Minimum, an MSc in Haematology 
    • PhD or HPCSA registration will be an advantage

    Experiences:

    • At least 2 years’ experience employed in a tertiary institution. 
    • At least 2 years’ experience working in an haematology laboratory. 
    • Experience lecturing haematology 
    • Postgraduate supervision and publications. 

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of appropriate lecturing methods 
    • Knowledge of appropriate assessment methods. 
    • Ability to mentor and supervise postgraduate students 
    • Computer literacy (MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Online/Virtual presentations) 
    • Written and communication skills.

    Duties:

    • Offer lecturers in haematology modules or where required by the department. 
    • Develop lecturing material. 
    • Coordinate haematology modules 
    • Moderate and assess tests and exams 
    • Postgraduate student supervision. 
    • Assist in departmental management.

    • Minimum PhD in Haematology or MMED (Haematology) 
    • HPCSA registration will be an advantage 

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years’ experience employed in a tertiary institute. 
    • At least 5 years’ experience of working in a haematology laboratory 
    • Experience lecturing and assessing haematology. 
    • Postgraduate supervision and publications (at least 3 SAPSE accredited journals) 

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of appropriate lecturing methods. 
    • Knowledge of appropriate assessment methods 
    • Ability to mentor and supervise postgraduate students 
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Online/ Virtual presentations) 
    • Written and communication skills.
