    Senior Manager: Flight Operations, Jhb North

    Education Required:

    Minimum-

    • Relevant Degree (NQF 7) OR Airline Transport Pilot Licence OR Equivalent Qualification

    Ideal-

    • Chief Pilot or Grade II Instructor with 7500hrs of which 200 as PIC

    Minimum Experience Required:

    • Management experience – 5 to 7 years
    • Relevant Aviation Technical Experience in Flight Operations – 10 Years

    Key Responsibilities/KPA/MAIN Outputs:

    Legislative responsibilities (25%)-

    • As an authorised officer of the organisation, responsible for conducting audits on all Air Operators, as per Master Surveillance Plan, to establish compliance to the Regulations. Thorough analysis of all Air Operator audit reports. Accountable for the correct decision to either renew or withdraw Air Operator Certificates based on audit outcomes. Exercise the powers delegated in terms of the legislation to authorise, vary or withdraw certificates, licenses, permits based on audit outcomes. Exercise the powers delegated in terms of the legislation to authorise, vary or withdraw certificates, licenses, permits and approvals in respect of Air Operators. Initiate regulatory review and submit to CARCOM

    Planning (15%)-

    • Develop annual oversight plans and safety promotion plans. Develop and monitor mentoring plans

    Financial Planning and Control (10%)-

    • Develop accurate activity revenue and costing, planning and budgets

    Operational Management (15%)-

    • Define the scope of oversight requirements, scope of work, and resources required, schedule work program and control performance

    Liaison and Policy (10%) –

    • Represent the Authority in negotiations and liaise with stakeholders and industry bodies

    Communications and Safety Promotion (10%) –

    • To project a satisfactory image of the company to all stakeholders. To provide industry feedback to the Authority

    Management of Direct Reports (15%)-

    • Manage key performance areas of directly reporting personnel to ensure achievement of their agreed objectives
