    Senior Marketer

    Position Function:

    • The Senior Marketer will be responsible for driving the success of products and services in the marketplace and will be responsible for product sales / product marketing for airborne systems in the sales and marketing department.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • B.Eng., B.Sc. or equivalent and relevant technical degree.

    IDEAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • At least 5 years ‘work experience preferably in a technical and / or business development or marketing field in the aerospace and defence sector;
    • Good knowledge of electro-optical systems will be an advantage;
    • Demonstrated ability to act independently with customers. 

    KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Ability to understand and promote the airborne EO-IR gimbal portfolio to local and international customers;
    • Good technical Knowledge and understanding of complex technical products.

    KEY RESPONSIBILTY AREAS  

    CONCLUDING CONTRACTS

    • Submit order intake of area of accountability to the Sales Order Book Intake;
    • Compilation of contract proposals / quotations and associated documentation in adherence with the Marketing Bidding Process;
    • Identify and articulate market and customer requirements;
    • Manage the creation of product promotional and marketing material that is to be presented both internally and externally;
    • Manage the up- keep of product promotion and marketing material i.e. videos, brochures and posters;
    • Management of proposals and bids in collaboration with other departments in support of increasing product sales for airborne products;
    • Generating proposals where appropriate in consultation with the Airborne product group/IPT and in collaboration with the Commercial Office;
    • Managing the internal and external order intake reporting including monthly major campaign reporting;

     SETTING UP, IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT OF STRATEGIC, AREA AND PRODUCT MARKETING PLANS

    • Compilation and up-keep of signed off Product Marketing Plans (incl. SWOT, key markets, competition status, etc.);
    • Create and implement a regional marketing strategy for northern hemisphere countries for accountable products (incl. SWOT, key markets, competition status, etc.);
    • Rank opportunity probability accurately and accurately maintain sales forecasts;
    • Marketing support and attendance at trade shows and exhibitions where necessary;
    • Formal sales reporting within the company structures in furtherance of company product sales targets;
    • Identifying new markets and / or customers aligned with the airborne EO/IR gimbals and evolving product roadmaps.

    BUILDING AND MAINTAINING SUCCESSFUL CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS

    • Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees;
    • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively , drive the execution of works form the marketing perspective, foster a “customer comes first” attitude within ZOSA, self focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively while maintaining a high level integrity;
    • Manage customer complaints by maintaining professional internal and external relationships that match the core values of ZOSA and as far as possible with those of the customer;
    • Proactively establish and maintain effective working teams relationships with the product lines whose products are being marketed by the incumbent with all related support departments for example shipping; 
    • Managing the customer relationship process via external customer surveys in collaboration with the product sales team.

    GENERAL

    • Support PR Officer for planning and implementing trade show strategies by creating and implementing new and fresh ideas
    • Align marketing efforts with ZOSA and ZeO colleagues through proactive communication
    • Provide data for input to intelligence database
    • Responsible for airborne product sales within an allocated region, country and/or customers as designated key accounts, and in the generation of leads and opportunities.
    • Providing ad hoc support to the wider sales team including the generation of market related intelligence.
