    Senior Marketing Lead: Strategy & Digital

    Job Description

    • Motus Retail is looking for a dynamic and commercially minded marketing leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, digital capability and execution.
    • This role plays a key leadership part in bringing the retail marketing vision to life, translating strategy into impactful campaigns, strong customer experiences and measurable business results.
    • Working closely with the Marketing Executive, you will help drive the implementation of marketing priorities across digital platforms, customer journeys and retail marketing initiatives. The role works across internal teams, regional marketing managers and agency partners to ensure marketing programs are delivered effectively and consistently.

    Role Responsibilities:

    Drive Marketing Execution

    • Lead the implementation of key marketing initiatives across the retail network, ensuring campaigns and programs are delivered effectively and aligned to brand and business objectives.
    • Support the rollout of national marketing priorities across regional teams and marketing channels.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives translate into meaningful commercial outcomes.

    Lead Digital Marketing & Customer Experience

    • Oversee the performance and development of the digital ecosystem, including brand websites, digital platforms and customer journey touchpoints.
    • Ensure digital channels deliver strong customer experience, UX and performance.
    • Leverage data, analytics and marketing technology to continuously optimise digital marketing performance.

    Integrate Brand, Digital & Retail Marketing

    • Work with marketing managers and regional teams to ensure alignment between masterbrand strategy and regional marketing activity.
    • Support the coordination of marketing activity across digital, retail and campaign channels to deliver cohesive brand experiences.
    • Help identify opportunities to improve how marketing programs are executed across the organisation.

    Build Strategic Partnerships

    • Manage relationships with key digital, media and technology partners, ensuring strong collaboration and high-quality delivery.
    • Work with agencies and suppliers to bring innovative ideas, tools and platforms into the marketing ecosystem.
    • Stay connected to emerging marketing, digital and consumer trends that can enhance marketing effectiveness.

    Support Marketing Team Development

    • Contribute to building a strong marketing culture by mentoring and supporting team members across different levels of experience.
    • Work collaboratively with marketing managers and specialists to strengthen capability, alignment and knowledge sharing.
    • Encourage curiosity, experimentation and continuous improvement within the team.

    Ensure Operational Excellence

    • Oversee digital marketing operations including campaign deployment, website performance, SEO, analytics and marketing platforms.
    • Manage agency relationships, budgets and project timelines.
    • Ensure strong governance, reporting and compliance across marketing initiatives.

    Experience & Background

    • 10–15 years’ marketing experience spanning brand, digital marketing and customer experience, ideally within fast-moving consumer, retail, ecommerce, technology or digitally driven businesses.
    • Experience working within a retail or multi-location business environment, with an understanding of how national marketing strategies translate into regional or store-level execution.
    • Strong understanding of modern marketing ecosystems, including digital platforms, analytics, performance marketing, customer journeys and marketing technology.
    • Experience leading or managing teams, with the ability to guide and mentor talent across different levels of experience.
    • Experience working with agencies, media partners and technology providers.
    • Comfortable presenting marketing strategy, campaign performance and insights to senior leadership and Exco-level stakeholders.
    • Automotive experience is not essential — fresh thinking from other sectors is welcomed.

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related field.
    • A postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Business or Strategy would be advantageous.
    • Continuous learning in areas such as digital marketing, analytics, technology or leadership development would be beneficial.
