Bachelor`s degree in Purchasing Management, Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management, or related filef coupled with a minimum of four years` experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or a related field, including at least three years in supervisory capacity. An Honours degree will serve as an advantage.
In addition, candidates must possess knowledge of the NEC3/NEC4 family of contracts, Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management (IPDM) as prescribed in relevant regulatory frameworks, and strong competency in contract management.
Duties
Responsible for planning, co-coordinating, and managing personnel to ensure the flow of product from the point of origin to the point of consumption.
Coordinate all Procurement activities to ensure the core business is not disturbed. Assists in the development of policies, standards, and procedures for product movement, monitoring and ensuring compliance and the maintenance of the highest standards of safety and environmental behaviour and performance.
The incumbent is responsible for relationship management with all stakeholders and for ensuring subordinates' adherence to annual performance agreements in line with the overall university's yearly performance plans.
