Senior Professional Officer - Transversal Real Estate Services
A relevant BTech or first degree within the Built Environment
Five (5) to eight (8) years' appropriate experience (see KPAs) with at least 5 years Contract Management experience
Proven knowledge of relevant legislation in the Built Environment
Computer proficiency
Valid B/EB driver's licence.
Key Performance Areas
Identify professional services required to service the needs of the Property Transactions department, and other City departments, including both centralised and devolved operational models
Ensure perpetual/uninterrupted provision of a panel of built environment professional service providers
Ensure perpetual/uninterrupted provision of real estate-related services to support and enable the Property Transactions department and other City departments, including both centralised and devolved operating models
Ensure appropriate financial monitoring and control over allocated capital and operating budgets for the provision of built environment professional services
Human Resource Management
Ensure appropriate quality assurance of all services and products provided
Participate in the development, operationalisation and maintenance of systems-based business processes to support workflow for departmental products and services
Coordinate in partnership with the requesting Branches or Departments, the full process of specification development, delivery, quality assurance, performance management, and payment of specific built environment professional services per transaction or project
Liaise and provide property related advice and feedback, attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders, councillors and various committees.
