Senior Protective Services Officer (Day Worker) (J Hay Band) at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    
To protect Rand Water staff, assets and property by granting access permits to only authorized personnel in line with the National Key Point Act, Control of Vehicles and Public Premises Act, the MPSS, other relevant legislation as well as site specific procedures and guidelines

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12
• Two years’ experience in a Protective Services Administrative environment
• A valid Code B driver’s license and the ability to pass Rand Water K53 test will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of Passive Systems.
• Grade C registration with PSIRA (No expired PSIRA certificates)
• Computer literate
• Preference will be given to applicants with disabilities

Primary Duties    

• Access and egress control.
• Enrolment, deactivation of staff and contractors on the biometric system.
• Issuing of Access permits to inducted contractors.
• Issuing of Access permits to visitors after validation of proof of identification, including verification of appointments with the host.
• Monthly reports submission to Head Protective Services
• Enforce company policies and rules; including SHEQ related matters.
• Perform administrative duties pertaining to vehicle tag lists updates and filing.
• Passive System monitoring including printing personnel movement reports as and when required.
