Key Responsibilities

• Provides a technical consulting and investigating service.
• Produces and integrates engineering solutions/ designs for asset creation.
• Develops and approves discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications.
• Manage and conducts product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
• Provides input into discipline specific technology vision strategy and direction setting.
• Conducts discipline specific technology research.
• Participates in national and international technical forums.
• Provides professional technical leadership

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s):

• BTech / National Higher Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering NQF 7 with 360 credits
• Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Technologist

Experience:

• Experience in engineering planning and design, design intergation and engineerin management in relevant technologies for power stations.substations, electrical network.
