    Senior Training Officer- Engineering

    About The Role

    We are looking for a Senior Training Officer- Engineering to supervise training staff and ensure the implementation of the training plan through presenting / facilitating training, conducting on-the-job coaching, assessing performance against standards and maintaining accurate records for the Engineering training. This role provides the link between the Capability Development & Training and Engineering.

    Reporting to the Superintendent Asset Management, you will

    • Oversees the development of curriculum for operational training programs to be delivered across the respective area of responsibility.
    • Consults with Leaders to ensure training support expectations are met.
    • Conduct training needs analysis for the business area in conjunction with line managers
    • Improves the learning and development course offering by providing learning feedback and suggestions.
    • Manages all aspects of record keeping and reporting to ensure corporate and statutory requirements are met and best practice standards are achieved
    • Assess Learners standard of skills against a pre-defined standard, provide feedback regarding performance and ensure re-attendance of courses as required in order to ensure proficiency.
    • Manages and maintains training facilities and assets
    • Supervise and develops the performance of the team in line with company values, in order to achieve objectives.
    • Proactively identifies, coordinate and lead improvement in systems and services
    • Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the Leader or as guided by relevant SOP for Dual Line Reporting.
    • Liaise with NAMB, QCTO and MQA to ensure that the required standards are maintained and accreditation for SDP and TTC are retained and improved on for the accredited period.
    • Leads the Team in all Skills Development Functions and responsibilities to deliver towards the WSP and ATR whilst meeting Legislative requirements.

    About You
    To succeed in this role, you will have

    • Grade 12/ N3 (with Maths & Science)
    • EB License
    • Valid Trade Certificate (preferably in Engineering)
    • Subject Matter Expert and a Registered Assessor/ Moderator with the MQA (Advantageous)
    • National Certificate ODETDP (or Equivalent),
    • Experienced Moderator with experience in Designing and Development
    • Supervisory skills (advantageous)
