Service Manager - Mining & Industrial - Middelburg at Howden

What needs to be done? 

• Business development and growth for the company in the Industrial and Mining sector to enable development of Service and Maintenance contracts.
• Enable execution of the repairs and installation of new equipment (including alignment), commissioning of machinery (including balancing if required), vibrations, temperatures, etc.
• Enable execution of servicing for established maintenance contracts in order to comply with Service Level Agreements.
• Responsible for all HSE according to the company policies, including compliance and requirements.
• Management of resource allocations to ensure correct appropriate and adequate skill and those jobs are completed on time and in Budget.
• Management of department HR Matters, including Temporary personnel (Recruitment, Performance Management, Disciplinary process, grievances, recruitment, motivation of staff).
• Accountable for Quality of work according to internal and customer standards and acceptance criteria.
• Accountable for appropriate Service department budgets, Time & Attendance of teams equipment, tools, material and appropriate documentation and control measures.
• Create an environment for employee growth and development.
• Financial Compliance ensure adherence to company SOX controls.

What do you need to bring? 

• N Dip or B Eng in mechanical engineering
• 10 years management experience on site or maintenance
• MS Office / Excel./ MS projects
• Knowledge of NEC contracts
• Project management course with experience of running technical projects
• Negotiation and Influencing skills
• Good leadership & interpersonal skills
