We are currently looking for a Signage Coordinator for a retail display company based in Silverton, Pretoria. The Signage Coordinator will play a crucial role in designing, fabricating, and installing signs across various environments such as shopfronts, offices, restaurants, hotels, vehicles, and roadside locations.
Minimum Requirements
2-3 years of experience in the Signage Industry, preferably within a retail environment.
Experience in the retail Industry is essential.
Knowledge of CorelDRAW.
Strong drawing skills.
Knowledge of typefaces and fonts.
Must be comfortable with heights.
Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
Roles and Responsibilities
Consult with clients to understand requirements, estimate costs, and measure spaces.
Prepare planning application forms and draft contracts.
Design and create signs using CorelDRAW and other design software.
Operate flatbed and roll-to-roll UV printers.
Operate vinyl and laser cutting machines.
Apply vinyl designs to vehicles through vinyl wrapping.
Construct 3-D letters from various materials like vinyl, Perspex, metal, wood, and fiberglass.
Utilize solvent-based inks, paints, and adhesives.
Handwrite signs and perform hand painting, engraving, screen printing, and spray painting.
Assemble glass neon tubes and undertake minor electrical work for illuminated signs.
Install, repaint, or repair signs on-site, adhering to health and safety regulations.
