Plan, organise, lead and control market operations, administration and management and related activities for the effective operations of the market.
Provide strategic leadership and capability in the development of the market policies and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient market operations and functions
Plan and implement operational process that are aligned with the divisional objectives to ensure implementation of Market By-Law and Policies as contemplated in the operational strategy of the market.
Manage and maintain governance and risk management activities of the division to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements.
Participate in and implement the financial management of the division during budgetary planning processes to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA.
Manage and ensure customer service orientation environment to ensure sound relations with the customer
Job Requirements
B Degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Economics or Operations Management or Business Administration or equivalent
The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
