Snr Specialist : Business Strategy at Nedbank

Job Purpose

• Manage the TS strategic objectives, policies, procedures and end-to-end value chain in line with Cluster goals for Product, TS and CIB. To co-ordinate the strategic planning and tracking with accountability for cross TS, CIB and Nedbank enterprise initiative alignment through digital transformation.  

Job Responsibilities
Financial: 

• Tracking against business targets and highlighting areas of focus to Product, TS and CIB  
• Ensuring the business targets are attainable and align to strategic intent 
• Understanding of cross product dependencies or exclusivity to provide input into strategic planning  

Customer: 

• Ensure deadlines are met through effective engagements 
• Provide and comment on end-to-end reports, incl. dashboards of business value chain 

Stakeholder Management: 

• External & Internal stakeholder management through effective reporting and communication.  
• Ensure trust is built with internal stakeholders through reliable and accurate reports and explanations. 
• Provide information for quality decision making by presenting value adding reports to all stakeholders in an accessible and easy to interpret format. 
• Address stakeholder requests by timeous response and solving questions in detail 
• Ensure collaboration with stakeholders for commercialisation, compliance, people, tech, support, operationalisation, servicing, and data analysis. 

Risk, Internal Audit & Compliance: 

• Prevent loss and risk, enforce internal controls and ensure staff adherence through the implementation of effective management processes. 
• Ensure accountability and understanding of the implications, possible requirements and opportunities whilst ensuring compliance.  

Strategy management: 

• Drive the strategic planning, execution and tracking of the TS strategy with Product and TS. 
• Drive the consolidation of strategic initiatives to ensure TS congruence and achievement of strategic objectives 
• Ensure alignment of the TS strategic intent with bottom-up execution 

People: 

• Ensure accuracy of work by working according to policies and procedures 
• Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression opportunities for self with input from management. 

Essential Qualification - NQF level

• Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

Minimum Experience Level

• 5 - 8 years relevant experience in product management
