Social Media Community Officer – Fixed Term (Cape Town) at Democratic Alliance

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing social media inboxes and comment threads on all social media channels used by the Party to ensure that the Party is responsive to voters’ questions, comments and queries
• Working with the Senior Digital Marketing Specialist in ensuring that the Party’s messaging is successfully communicated on social media channels to the appropriate audiences
• Assisting with implementing the Party’s social media strategy

Prospective applicants must meet the following requirements:

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent
• Relevant experience working in a marketing or social media-related environment
• Knowledge of social media platforms i.e., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn & Tik Tok advantageous
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom)
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent administrative and organisational abilities
• Must be a team player
• Systematic, comprehensive, and displaying excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, effectively, and energetically around a demanding work schedule
• Commitment to the principles, policies, and programme of action of the DA
