    Solutions Deployment Specialist - East London

    Department: Legal Information & Compliance


    The Solutions Deployment Specialist (SDS) is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the business, typically ensuring smooth operation of various processes for a particular product or set of products. The SDS needs to perform tasks across various operational areas. They must understand the key product goals and priorities of the General Manager and Product Owner in order to define their main focus areas.  


    Main Responsibilities:
    Release Management and Training:

    • Successfully hand over release artefacts from the development teams to the deployment teams (build and run teams)
    • Coordinate the general release process and communicate to all stakeholders in a timely manner
    • Regular contact with development team and product owner for release scheduling and planning
    • Arrange for Installation of Server Updates
    • Communication of Release Status to all stakeholder
    • System Monitoring and Risk Management Responsible for the setup and configuration of automated and manual monitoring tasks/processes/systems to raise early alarms of any downtime or potential downtime
    • Maintain monitoring documentations
    • Incident Management Should be the first to be notified of any system incident (product level, infrastructure level)
    • Responsible for managing the communication and successful resolution of the incident

    Support (not end user support):

    • Ensure that production processes for Customer Support Centre (CSC) escalations are adequately managed as well as provide support to all third party developers, suppliers and business partners (banks,municipalities, deeds office and data suppliers)
    • Motivate emergency development with Product Owner 
    • Third Party Relations Informing all third party developers and suppliers of integration requirements, new developments, system changes, release requirements and communicating general product information
    • The Operations Manager must interact in a way that strengthens relations with third parties
    • Monthly Billing Supervision: Ensure that monthly customer billing is complete and correct
