    Sourcing Manager

    Purpose

    • We are currently recruiting a Sourcing Manager for Product Procurement CEMEA. The role forms part of the CEMEA Sourcing organization, supporting the Product Category and working cross-functionally within Visa.
    • The Sourcing Manager - Product, is expected to lead by example, and through partnership, to drive competitive advantage and value for Visa. As a key team member of the CEMEA Sourcing team, you will be accountable for delivering sustainable results across a number of Product sub-categories. You will partner with category leads and business partners to deliver commercial and contractual value in the following sub-categories - Card benefits and Solutions, Product Tech and Digital, and other procurement categories as may be necessary from time to time. You will also be responsible for partnering with category leads, business partners and vendors for the delivery of Supplier Performance Management programs across these sub-categories.
    • You will need a strong sense of urgency and the ability to succinctly frame issues and alternatives to drive decisions forward.

    Responsibilities:

    • Engages and establishes business partnerships with cross functional leadership across Visa to collaborate, influence, and drive sourcing strategies
    • Manages multiple sourcing strategies, scope requirements, business partnerships, and navigate complexity within a large global matrixed organization
    • Creates a shared vision by embedding and integrating the role of strategic sourcing into various parts of the business
    • Develops category strategies that are directly linked to the assigned business area functional objectives and Visa
    • Provides high level guidance on the overall continuous strategic sourcing process from needs identification, through supplier performance management.
    • Maintains strong external focus by leveraging industry peers, organizations, associations and by continuing to build strong relationships outside of Visa
    • Communicates effectively and frequently, listens carefully, and actively seeks and values the perspectives of others
    • Builds effective strategic relationships with external suppliers to drive and execute category, sub-category strategies
    • Develops and manages sub-category wide SPM (Supplier Performance Management) plans with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
    • Supports the implementation of Global Sourcing policies and procedures.
    • This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

    Qualifications

    Required Experience:

    • Commercial, Product, Sales or Technology desired
    • Bachelor’s degree or business equivalent
    • 5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing within a large multinational or within a top tier consulting firm
    • 2+ years leading the development and management of category plans or sourcing strategies across a wide range of sourcing categories.
    • Proven ability to execute independently and operate successfully within a matrix/team structure
    • Ability to interact effectively with external partners, at a senior level including suppliers, clients and strategic partners.
    • Solid experience establishing and negotiating commercial terms including development of cost models and performance metrics
    • Proficient user of all Microsoft Office products
    • Knowledge of payment system process is an advantage
    • International business experience is a plus
    • Occasional business travel may be required
