Implement the Sourcing strategy within the framework of the Business Group strategy, aligning this tPep’s value position while driving fashion / market trends and newness.
Builds relationships with suppliers, through negotiating cost and developing agreements tdeliver products that exceed customer expectations of quality and value.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the process tdeliver tthe business supplier sourcing strategy
Maximise added value and cost savings and deliver tthe consolidation strategy
Engage and further develop the supplier base tdeliver tthe sourcing and business strategy
Build strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders tmeet required standards.
Texecute all administration relating tthe procurement process tensure on-time delivery as per the critical path dates/deadlines.
Teffectively communicate and follow-up internally
Tcommunicate and follow-up effectively with all relevant external role players/key relationships
Tcontinuously update all systems with the required information and provide end tend visibility
Managing strict deadlines, from orders placed tdelivery
Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by Leader
Requirements
Relevant Degree or Diploma (e.g. Clothing Production Management)
Computer Literacy (MS Office and Google Suite)
Fabric and garment construction understanding.
Understand key sourcing inputs/resources (including raw materials) in supplier negotiation
Able tanalyse and interpret data and make recommendations
Knowledge of compliance and legislation applicable tthe manufacturing environment
Must be willing ttravel
Code 8 driver’s licence required
Position is Cape Town based
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience:
Clothing background (manufacturing)
Local and Imports exposure in a retail or manufacturing environment
Clear understanding of the buying cycle
Exposure tFactory production would be ideal
Experience in working with onshore and offshore suppliers
Competencies required: Accuracy, Negotiating, Performing under Pressure, Creating Support, Flexibility, Initiative, Integrity, Analysing and forming opinions
