    Spec:Grp SCM Design& Analytics

    Role Purpose

    • Accountable for delivering world-class process performance and unmatched user experience while proactively mitigating risk along our Pan African supply chain processes.
    • Design and continuously improve SCM processes and policies and ensure delivery across our markets, partner markets while accommodating local needs, and providing rapid tactical and strategic responses to business challenges.
    • Engineering skills to conduct teardowns of physical products and services, identify costs, apply problem solving and use findings to support negotiation strategy.
    • Provide strategic insights and negotiation support to Vodacom Group markets, partner markets including Vodafone (VPC).
    • Prepare and execute leadership ‘decision conventions’ after tear down activities.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    Design & Planning

    • Design and continuously improve SCM processes and policies and ensure these work across our markets, partner markets while accommodating local needs, and providing rapid tactical and strategic responses to business challenges.
    • Define the process mission, tactics, goals, objectives, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and the measures that aligns with the Pan Africa Supply Chain Strategy (including global SCM policies
    • Ensure appropriate process designs, including the correct business requirements.

    Optimisation Programmes

    • Develop and deliver SCM transformation programmes, which empowers markets and partner markets to unlock latent intrinsic value benefiting both local and global stakeholders.
    • Design, develop and execute transformation programmes utilising Group scale deriving synergy benefits efficiently and effectively.

    Design to Cost (D2C) & Analytics

    • Spokesperson and Advocate for D2C Integration into One SCM way of working.
    • Drive tear down of Network / IT Hardware or Software products including assessment of effort required to conduct tear down of selected Products.
    • Provide strategic insights and Negotiation support to markets and partner markets Category Heads.
    • Participate in all aspects of first tear down in markets and partner markets (e.g. gathering and refining inputs, refining logic) and negotiation strategy formulation.
    • Prepare, plan, and conduct supplier idea generation workshops based on technical components.
    • Develop and support “best in class” analytics & dashboards to support, accelerate and
    • sustain the success of the Pan Africa Supply Chain Strategy.

    Centre of Excellence and Business Support

    • Support and foster collaboration across all Vodacom Group markets, partner markets including Vodafone (VPC).
    • Ensure and support coordinated planning on key SCM transformation programmes, delivered via the Group SCM Strategy and Programmes office.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Engineering Diploma or Degree
    • 5- 7 years telecom experience
    • Strategic planning and execution.
    • Proven ability to lead virtual and cross-functional teams to translate strategic goals into actionable plans.
    • Ability to make critical decisions derived from key insights.
    • Continuously push the boundaries of business to unlock intrinsic latent value for the benefit of all stakeholders.
    • Stakeholder relationship management at senior level.
    • Strong leadership presence, with proven ability to present to senior leaders.
    • Ability to communicate complex subjects in a simple way.
    • Effective problem-solving skills, able to process high volumes of complex information, synthesise key themes and issues, and recommend actionable responses to opportunities and threats.
