    Principal Spec Digital & IT Architecture

    Role Purpose

    The Digital & IT Principal Architect role based within Technology.

     

    Role purpose: 
    The Digital & IT Principal Architect works with Business, Digital & IT stakeholders in Vodacom Group, the Vodacom Markets and Vodacom South Africa to develop strategies, roadmaps and continuous modernisation plans that enables the Digital & IT portfolio to support current and future business capabilities in alignment with the Vodafone, Vodacom and Tech2025 strategies and guidance.
    With a deep understanding of Technology Companies, Digital Platforms, Platform Businesses and IT Architecture the Digital & IT Principal Architect drives the maintenance and evolution of the emerging architecture that enables the Digital & IT strategy and business objectives for Vodacom South Africa, maximising the value of technology disruptions into current and future capabilities.
    The Digital & IT Principal Architect drives design, engineering, reuse, application of patterns, and create Enabler Epics for the architectures that comprise the solutions, fostering adaptive design, and engineering practices, and drive programs and teams to rally around a shared technical vision. The role will continuously assess, value and size initiatives to inform the larger CxO community and drive decisions related to the development of architecture runways for Vodacom South Africa.
     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Manage architecture vision and roadmap in alignment with the Digital & IT Architecture blueprint from Vodafone Group.
    Develop blueprints and roadmaps with Business and Technology as a key custodian of Vodacom South Africa Digital & IT Architecture.
    Oversee and lead the design, development, and deployment of Digital & IT architecture practices, standards, patterns and innovations in alignment with Group guidance.
    Scout new technologies and vendors to enable innovation and identify technical enablers
    Manage innovation and establish the capability to monitor new technology developments and trends in the industry
    Provide thought leadership on foundational Digital & IT architecture best practices and disruptive technology trajectory and implications
    Definition of long-term business, data and IT architecture strategy and roadmap
    Ensure that all target architectures conform to regulatory, legal and adheres to “privacy by design” principles
    Initiating key programmes to align to the Vodacom target architectures

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Deep expertise in Digital & IT Architecture strategies, frameworks, practical application, detailed design, patterns and its implementation.

    Must have qualifications:

    Senior Specialist: FTTX Supplier Management

    Role Purpose

    • To manage the supplier interactions across the full delivery chain for FTTX orders, inclusive of both internal team interactions, such as with Terminals, and external supplier interactions ,i.e. 3rd party Fibre network Operators. 
    • To design strategies and/or mechanisms/processes to:
    • Continually improve delivery times on 3rd party networks for Vodacom orders,
    • Ensure stock levels of FTTH devices are monitored and maintained and 
    • Monitored and improve the customer experience within the Service Delivery journey.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Supplier Management:

    • Major focus is to improve delivery times on 3rd party networks for Vodacom orders
    • To manage end to end the supplier interactions across the full delivery chain for FTTX orders
    • Monthly target setting and trend monitoring per network provider.
    • Conduct supplier performance review meetings to ensure progress against targets and work to remove blockers. 
    • Identify, summarise and report back performance and blockers to Service Delivery EHOD.
    • To ensure data integrity on all databases across which FTTX orders are delivered and monitored. 
    • External supplier interactions (contractual and commercial), such as 3rd party Fibre Network Operators

    Stock Management:

    • Stock control: includes Critical path creation and maintenance on Device change overs.
    • Ensuring stock levels of FTTH are monitored and maintained and that customer experience continually monitored and improved within the Service Delivery journey  

    Reporting:

    • Analyse all relevant data and be able to prepare the necessary presentation for key stakeholders 

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Represent Service Delivery in joint teams focused on improving delivery process and systems as well in new product launches or improvements. 

    People Leadership:

    • Ensure that effective people leadership is applied to successfully deliver against the job objectives in this role even though the staff report to other line managers/departments

    Spec:Grp SCM Design& Analytics

    Role Purpose

    Role Purpose

    The purpose of the Senior Specialist Commercial and Pricing is to support the Consumer Business Unit (CBU) teams with respect to Prepaid and Postpaid products, as well as with pricing analysis, pricing reviews, pricing framework, strategy and high-level financial models.     Senior Specialist: Organizational Effectiveness and Change

    Role Purpose

    • The role is accountable to lead the Organisation Effectiveness (OE) agenda for defined business units within Vodacom South Africa and will be required to provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the International OPCO HR teams as required. The role will support and enable Organisational Effectiveness & Change strategy through identifying and leading the development and implementation of OE projects and initiatives that will include, amongst others, organisation design and diagnosis, data analytics, organisation effectiveness & efficiency, maintenance of organisational job architecture as well as change and cultural transformation.

    The Manager: FTTH Support based within Commercial Operations.

    Role purpose: 

    • The focus of this role is ensuring the tactical deployment of resources and tools, as well as leveraging capability via our internal and external partners that support operational excellence in Customer Care Group (Enterprise and Customer Care). This position defines and performs analysis and developmental tasks to improve workflow and operating efficiency, makes recommendations to standardize procedures and processes and to introduce new technology or improve existing technology.. It’s a fast-paced environment with constant change. The role needs someone who thrives within that environment and is able to make measured decisions on a daily basis. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Maintain collaborative relationships with leadership from all internal and external partners to assure consistency in quality processes and adherence to processes and procedures.
    • Recommend ongoing business improvement needs by delivering business intelligenc linked to key business KPI’s.
    • Developing agile ways of working and continuous improvement of customer experience and service by collaborating with BI 
    • Monitor products & services in market and propose adjustments to enhance products & services.
    • Maintain, re-evaluate, optimise or automate existing reporting.
    • Advocate adoption of new technologies into solutions.
    • Review and analyse the impact and performance of product & services launched into the market.
    • Provide guidance to FTTX Operations teams to ensure alignment.
    • Advocate adoption of new technologies into solutions.
    • Provide leadership and coaching to the FTTX Operations team on product & service design.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric is essential 
    • A 3 year  relevant Bachelor’s Degree (essential)
    • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the telecommunications or digital industry (essential)
    • Experience within a Call Centre, Retail environment and Digital services (essential)
    • Understanding of COPS strategy 
    • Product Development skills (essential)
    • 1 year leadership/ managerial/ supervisory experience (is an advantage)
       

    OR

     

    • Matric is essential 
    • Relevant short courses 
    • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in the telecommunications or digital industry (essential)
    • Experience within a Call Centre, Retail environment and Digital services (essential)
    • Understanding of COPS strategy 
    • Product Development skills (essential)
    • 2 year leadership/ managerial/ supervisor experience (is an advantage)
