    Specialist Administrator

    About the Job

    Skills and Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years working experience within an administrative environment. Experience in a financial environment an advantage.
    • Knowledge/Experience of the Unit Trust industry, Investment Industry or Financial Services Industry preferable
    • Previous leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential


    Technical / Special Requirements:

    • Detailed knowledge of the LOB and workflow systems (Silica and AWD systems preferable)
    • Detailed knowledge of funds administered and the processes surrounding them – especially the exceptions to standard process, and the differences per client
    • Understanding project methodology and SDLC
    • Basic understanding of data base tables
    • Basic SQL knowledge and writing ad hoc queries

    Educational Requirements:

    • Minimum Matric
    • Undergraduate degree preferable
    • Industry related qualifications an advantage

    Key Accountabilities

    • Trend analysis of queries raised and processing errors.
    • Suggest solutions to problem areas – initiate and manage change controls
    • Lead business representative on projects impacting the team
    • Lead business tester of monthly bulk runs
    • Lead business tester of application changes
    • Provide adhoc and regular training to new and existing employees
    • Compile training notes
    • Assist team members on the capture of new instructions and/or backdates where necessary
    • Devise and implement control measures/procedures where necessary
    • Perform work of the team as a back up
    • Facilitate and manage workshops
    • Log and manage enhancements and project requests
    • Owner of the team’s Business Continuity Process
    • Authorization of backdates
    • Handling of escalations
    • Technical analysis of pricing errors and business initiatives
    • Quarterly SARB reporting
    • Daily fund pricing , reconciliation and units in issue
    • Capture and reconciliation of quarterly Income Distributions
