Job Summary

• To provide advice & support in the development & implementation of Physical Network Strategy, - planning & placement, associated design support delivery processes, methods & techniques; enabling the provision, proactive & optimal use of space.

Job Description

• Assist in developing and interpreting the overarching physical network strategy, develop, align and implement a Design and format strategy and capability to deliver against customer expectations & business opportunities.
• To provide a professional branch design consulting, advice and support service to the RBB Regional Network Planning - and client facing infrastructure project management teams. Influence future design principles based on insights, market intelligence, Voice of Customer, Voice of Staff in an integrated approach.
• Using geo-spatial analytics influence the interpretation of BU CVP infrastructure and customer journeys. Further leverage the analytics to optimise Brand exposure and business opportunities.
• Do market research and international benchmark to innovate and continuously improve ABSA’s branch format & design philosophy.
• To stabilize the branch design baseline in line with new strategic formats.
• To investigate proposed premises from a lay-out feasibility perspective, articulating design and infrastructure requirements aligned to overarching physical infrastructure strategy and formats and assist with generating preliminary branch designs is support of new, rightsized, revamped or relocation investment business cases. Through collaboration and partnership with Regional teams, Regional Executives and Regional Managing Executives, gather related information and provide proposed changes on branch floor plans and draft updates.
• Liaise with the PMO architects, Regional teams and functional specialists to review design options available, determine cost and budget associated with project and final design proposals for branch optimization business cases. Facilitate the mediation process, if required.
• Ensure that all proposals align with ABSA’s integrated network plan and design philosophy. Assist with the post-assessment of existing branch designs in terms of operational flow, functionality and optimization. Identify gaps, areas for improvement & opportunities.
• Liaise with Placement Specialists and Regional Management teams to determine the branches within the next serving Business Case cycle. Analyse the business purpose of the proposed project, negotiate requirements, scope of works and conduct design possibilities.
• Ensure projects are assigned and in-depth analysis are conducted.
• Provide solutioning design advice on the Functional requirement documents and facilitate mediation process.
• Assess, analyse and guide regional reams to explore possible proposals in line with needs, scope of works, design philosophy and overall Physical Channel strategy.
• Provide a professional advisory service to Regional, SBU or Operations teams relating to branch design, layout and optimisation.
• Discuss and mediate with all relevant parties to find the best possible requirement set and proposals.
• Prepare, distribute and manage value chain delivery of designs and costings for inclusion into Business Case.
• Assist Network Planning Specialist in obtaining and preparing design related inputs and -pack for serving / pending Business cases.
• Guide PMO office in terms of approved budget availability per project and provide advice in relation to operational design items.
• Distribute documents to relevant parties as per project requirement and outcome from Investment Council for execution.

Education

• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Physical Planning and Construction (Required)
